Happy obituary

Last night an armadillo passed away in the middle of the street . Automotive causes were blamed for the none-to-soon demise of this local terrorist . Expressing their heartfelt goodbyes ( See ya , don't wanna be ya ) at the double-yellow-line funeral were me and the buzzard . The earthworms are feeling safer tonight .

I even sent flowers .

  1. Love it, I feel the same exact way! If they happen in one of our traps well its goners too! I keep thinking there must be something good about them, yet never have figured it out!

  2. It takes a pretty vivid imagination to come up with this from a run-over armadillo in front of your house. I'm laughing out loud.

You have armadillos ... we have groundhogs ... neither are good for a garden.

  3. That's not what I was expecting :-). By your title I thought it was going to be a fussy plant that passed making you glad to see it gone. Poor armadillo...they aren't the smartest animals around are they? So nice of you to hold a funeral and send flowers, too! ;-)

  4. We don't get armadillos here, but I've read that can be a real pain in the garden. You were very nice to send flowers :) LOL

  5. haha - Between the armadillos and the possums we have here, I completely understand your not crying at this funeral! They are a big nuisance here!

  6. So glad we don't have Armadillos here! There was a dead raccoon by the park last week, obviously hit by a car. I felt sort of bad, but they are destructive as well, and deadly to koi. Luckily my koi have been safe, so far. I read somewhere recently that Armadillos are carriers of Leprosy--Americans infected with Leprosy caught it from Armadillos. Yikes! Stay away from those things!

  7. I'm fighting with what I think are several of the critters. They aren't cooperating with my trapping efforts. GRRR. So glad one got "taken care of."
